Renowned hunter/jumper rider and trainer, Dustin Durham, keeps his horses and is based at DaVinci Farms.  He has won dozens of show jumping competitions, including numerous Grand Prix. A Knoxville, Tennessee native, Dustin has enjoyed a successful show career since childhood, winning his first jumper competition at age eleven.  He grew up foxhunting and served as professional staff for the Tennesee Valley Hunt, where he earned his hunt colors and served as first whipper-in.  Dustin has studied with such professionals as Olympic Silver medalist, Peter Gray, and former chef d'equipe George H. Morris. Additionally, he has ridden and trained with some of the nation's top successful show stables including several years riding and competing for MTM Farm’s show jumper professionals Mike McCormick and Tracey Fenney.   He has started and coached many winning hunter and equitation riders of all ages and levels of riding -- from short stirrup to seasoned seniors -- and has trained winning mounts of all sizes, and has produced numerous successful hunter and jumper riders.

CANDACE CLEMMENS

Candace Clemens is an FEI level dressage trainer and occasional event rider who trains and teaches individually and alongside Dustin Durham at DaVinci Farms, where she keeps her own horse.  She is known for her focus on relaxation and balance – for both horse and rider - as well as belief that trained horses make the best teachers.  She has introduced many young horses and riders to their first events, and has brought many horses to FEI dressage.  She is a 1976 graduate of and former instructor at the world-renowned Morven Park International Equestrian Institute.  A USDF Bronze Medalist, Clemens has also earned the required scores for her Silver Medal, and has successfully competed through Intermediare.  Students have included a participant in the USDF Young Rider Championships, a Silver Medalist at the Pan Am Games in Eventing, several A Pony Clubbers, and Virginia’s Leading Lady Steeplechase Trainer. During her more than 30 years of riding, teaching, starting and training horses of all levels, Candace has developed her BarebackDressage™ methodology which, along with the BarebackDressage Kit™, dramatically accelerates riders learning to go on the bit.  Her methodology and kit can be a fabulous supplement to all traditional riding and training styles and methods including: Western, Hunter and Jumper, as well as being useful in evaluating upper level dressage horses.
In addition to her work with horses, Candace also spent several decades as an international communications executive in the High Tech industry.

Please contact Candace at (617) 435-0010 for more information.
